Kappa Alpha Theta, University of Oregon

Director of Fundraising

In this position, I led philanthropic efforts supporting Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), a nationwide network dedicated to advocating for children in foster care. My role involved planning and organizing three fundraising events throughout the year.

Being surrounded by such strong, driven, and inspiring women taught me so much about the importance of supporting and empowering one another. I am incredibly proud and grateful to have been part of a chapter filled with women who continuously encourage each other to grow as leaders, professionals, and individuals.

Rock the CASA

Our biggest event, Rock the CASA, is an annual end-of-year fundraising concert hosted in partnership with fraternity, Beta Theta Pi. We raised $3,500 for CASA, bringing our community together to support a cause that makes a meaningful difference in childrens’ lives.

Special Olympics 5k and Polar Plunge

In planning and organizing this event, through chapter presentations and one-on-one conversations, 20 sorority members got involved. I even convinced a few to jump into the freezing Willamette River in the middle of January! Together, we raised $2,000 for the Special Olympics.
